She's Arrived!!!!

How she came packaged

Out of the box
Cute accessories

The postman delivered a very special package today......yes, my Blythe doll has arrived!!!!
I was soooo excited, I actually woke up early in anticipation, sad but true!

She is absolutely lovely , which is quite fitting as her name is Lounging Lovely. At the moment I am thinking about what her name should be, but I have decided when I have made some clothes for her, I will see what name fits best.
I have taken some quick snaps of her and the additional things which she came with.

My hubby was not impressed by her, something I think I'll have to work on as I am thinking about my next Blythe doll already!!!!
I'm off to some fabrics shops to buy some additional fabrics and trims for my Blythe clothes.

Have a lovely Saturday. X

Soft metallic versatile skinny cowl

Look what I made with the cream metallic knit fabric I bought on Saturday!!!!

It's a skinny cowl that can be worn in a number of ways to dress up any plain outfit. It is so soft and the metallic yarn knitted through it adds to the luxe factor - certain to glam up your plain wardrobe basics.

Wear it singularly to just hang like a knitted neckpiece.
Loop it twice for more of a casual loose cowl.
Loop it three times and it becomes a snug neckwarmer.

I will be making this same style up in the black and khaki and all will be available in my Etsy shop soon.

have a great evening!

Fabric and Football

Yesterday I went fabric buying and where the main fabric shop that I buy from is, there is also a premiereship football stadium.
Well, I usually know when there are home games on, but yesterday, I somehow forgot to check and lo and behold, I was caught up in the football crowd, so it took me twice as long to get to the shop!!!!
It was all worth it in the end as I picked up some great fabric and I can't wait to see them made up.
I picked up a metallic knit in 3 colours, khaki, black and cream all with a gold metallic yarn running through them - I loved all 3 and couldn't decide which one. I already have an idea of what I want to make with them.
The green and blue jersey photograph doesn't do the colour justice - they are more like emerald green and royal blue - really strong in depth colours.
Lastly I picked up 2 wool/viscose/elastane lengths in charcoal , light burgundy and a dove grey marl.
I'm going to try out the idea for the metallic knit today, so hopefully if it works, I will post the pictures soon.
Have a blessed day!
